Mairead Gallagher
Mairead is a highly dedicated physiotherapist. She holds an MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton and a BSc in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation from Teesside University. This training, coupled with hands-on experience, has equipped her with a profound understanding of injury management and patient care.
Alongside her role at Flex, Mairead will be continuing her role in the Harlequins Academy development program, where she works with junior athletes from the ages of 14 to 18 years old. As well as rugby she also has previous experience of working with athletes in cricket, hockey, football, basketball and futsal.
Mairead’s professional journey is marked by diverse experiences, including community healthcare within the NHS and international exposure in the Canadian healthcare system. These experiences have enriched her approach to patient care, allowing her to incorporate best practices from different healthcare environments.
Outside of her professional life, Mairead is committed to an active lifestyle. She regularly engages in swimming, running, and gym activities, and enjoys exploring a variety of other sports and creative pursuits. Her enjoyment in fitness and well-being enhances her professional practice, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on physical health and rehabilitation.
