Physiotherapy for Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common

From teenagers playing school and club sport to grandparents wanting to stay steady on their feet, we treat whole families from Hurstpierpoint. Flex Physiotherapy is about 3 miles east of the village, in the centre of Burgess Hill.

The practice is owned and clinically led by Chartered Physiotherapists Kieran Barnard, Alex Kyriacou and Matt Prout. Since opening in 2019 it has grown to a team of senior physiotherapists, a pelvic health specialist and a musculoskeletal podiatrist.

Physio for Children and Teenagers

We see young people aged 8 and over with musculoskeletal problems such as growth-related knee and heel pain, ankle sprains and back pain from sport, dance or gymnastics. Our children’s physiotherapy sessions are friendly and practical, and parents are always welcome in the room.

For young athletes who want to reduce their risk of injury, we also offer an injury prevention screening that looks at strength, flexibility and movement control.

Please note: this is a musculoskeletal service. We do not treat neurological or developmental conditions in children.
Pregnancy and early parenthood bring their own aches, from pelvic girdle pain to sore wrists and shoulders from lifting car seats. Our Bloom After Birth postnatal check gives new mothers a thorough 60 minute assessment of the pelvic floor, abdominal wall and return to exercise.
For older Hurstpierpoint residents, our aim is to keep you independent and enjoying village life. We help with hip pain, stiff knees, balance and confidence on stairs and uneven pavements. Every programme is coached in our rehabilitation gym and adapted so you can carry it on safely at home.
If a child has a new limp with a high temperature, pain that wakes them at night, or cannot bear weight on a leg, contact your GP the same day. These signs need medical checks before physiotherapy.
