Meet Cerys Lamper

Sports Therapist
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy

Cerys Lamper is a BSc-qualified Sports Therapist, specialising in sports massage, injury assessment, and personalised rehabilitation. With extensive hands-on experience across professional football academies, private clinical practice, and the NHS, Cerys is known for delivering effective, targeted treatments that support recovery, reduce pain, and enhance performance.

Cerys began her journey at the University of Chichester, where she developed a strong foundation in sports massage, injury diagnosis, manual therapy, and exercise prescription. She went on to establish her own clinic in Brighton, where sports massage became a core part of her practice. During this time, she treated a wide range of clients, from everyday gym-goers to competitive athletes using advanced techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, joint and spinal mobilisations, taping methods, and electrotherapy including ultrasound, TENS, and shockwave therapy. Her personalised approach and consistent results helped her build a loyal client base who valued her ability to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support long-term recovery.

Alongside her clinic work, Cerys provided pitch-side care and rehabilitation support for Brighton & Hove Albion FC’s academy teams (U9–U16). She also worked with Worthing Women FC, offering tailored rehabilitation programmes to help players return to play safely and confidently.

Her experience extends beyond sport. As a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor within the NHS, Cerys delivered 1-to-1 rehabilitation sessions and group exercise classes for patients with diverse needs. This role strengthened her ability to adapt treatment plans, communicate clearly, and support individuals through every stage of their recovery, skills that now enhance her work in sports massage and therapy.

Outside of her professional work, Cerys is passionate about staying active and connected with her community. She plays football for a team in Brighton and, when she’s not on the pitch or in the clinic, you’ll often find her making homemade pizzas. Most importantly, Cerys loves spending quality time with her family and friends.
